PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Job Summary

The program support specialist provides assistance to the programs and education division team as well as to the customer service team to support one or more programs and ensure customer satisfaction and efficient processes.

Responsibilities include: monitoring and replying to customer inquiries through e-mail, phone calls, web sites, forums and social media sites; assisting customers with workshop registration; sending information to potential licensed facilities; sending welcome kits to new licensed facilities; processing certification renewals, petitions, exams; printing and mailing instructor cards/certificates; calling and/or e-mailing customers when workshop are postponed or canceled; assisting with special projects as needed.

Education/Experience

  • 2+ years Customer Service experience
  • Four-year degree or other business related field preferred but is not a requirement.
  • Fitness or Pilates industry experience is a plus.

Requirements

  • Excellent organization and effective time management skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently, both verbally and in writing, with guests, vendors and co-workers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

EDUCATION MANAGER

Job Summary

Mad Dogg Athletics Inc., an international fitness company that provides equipment, instructor training, and program resources under the Spinning, Peak Pilates, Resist-A-Ball and Bodyblade brands seeks an education manager who is passionate about fitness and has proven skills in publishing, communication and project management. This person will report to the vice president of programs and education and will play a key role related to the instructor training/education segment of the business.
Reports to: Vice President, Programs and Education

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage revisions and updates to an extensive library of education materials, including instructor manuals, workshop outlines, home studies and web-based courses.
  • Review and edit education course materials to ensure accuracy, quality, brand identity and adherence to style guides.
  • Manage translation projects for education materials, including forecasts, budgets, timelines, contracts, and adherence to trademark guidelines.
  • Assist with planning and production of instructor training videos.
  • Maintain continuing education provider status with certifying organizations.
  • Interface with affiliated Pilates and fitness associations.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop brochures and email campaigns for education products.
  • Oversee education-related portions of websites.
  • Monitor workshop attendance and certification renewal numbers and take steps to hit targets.
  • Assist with planning and producing annual fitness conference and Master Instructor Camps.
  • Represent Mad Dogg Athletics at trade shows and conferences.
  • Some travel required.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Exercise science knowledge (anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology)
  • In-depth knowledge in a variety of exercise disciplines, including Pilates and Spinning
  • Experience and knowledge in the professional education and testing fields
  • Knowledge of web-based education platforms
  • Familiarity with fitness industry companies, leaders and experts
  • Up-to-date with fitness industry news, trends and competitors
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, and familiarity with Chicago and AP Styles
  • Ability to communicate professionally, clearly and concisely with customers, colleagues and media representatives
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Fitness and Pilates certifications required
  • 5-7 years' experience with publishing and/or corporate communications

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Summary

To meet or exceed goals for specified region within channel by the solicitation of new product business and development of existing accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and maximize existing client relationships.
  • Develop new business in the specified region of channel and contribute to the overall success of the company.
  • Utilize your solid track record of success in achieving and/or exceeding your sales goals.
  • Demonstrate your professional presentation skills at Industry Trade Shows, Sales Events and Networking functions - proudly present the product line to prospective clients.
  • Be self motivated, team-oriented, ambitious and driven for sales success - truly enjoy creating new business.
  • Conduct sales calls, as indicated by the yearly Marketing Plan.
  • Meet and greet national groups.
  • Entertain clients and conduct site inspections.
  • Prospect various meeting planner lists to expand account base.
  • Trace calls to existing accounts on a timely basis.
  • Establish familiarization with competition.
  • Participate in trade shows, Sales trips and blitzes.
  • Meet monthly booking goals, as indicated by the yearly Marketing Plan.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings.
  • Execute additional projects as assigned by the Channel Sales Manager.
  • Prepare monthly activity reports for the Channel Sales Manager.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the company when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.
